肉究Ogatomo

01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Hidden away in a quiet residential corner of Ryusen, Taito Ward, Nikukyu Ogatomo offers a reservation-only omakase experience across just 6 counter seats. The multi-course menu evolves roughly every 2 months, showcasing thoughtfully sourced meat dishes prepared by the chef alongside fresh seasonal seafood and vegetables.
Amid the shifting seasonal courses, the house specialty of homemade sausage and mashed potatoes remains an enduring fixture. Slicing into the plump link releases a burst of savory juice and robust, springy texture, which softens against silky mashed potatoes without feeling heavy. Guests can choose their preferred portion size of sausage, a thoughtful touch that suits varying appetites. Towards the end of the meal comes "My Favorite Keema Curry," striking a harmonious balance between vegetable sweetness and layered spices, served in your choice of portion to round off the course.
Meals are accompanied by free-flowing drinks, spanning wine, whisky, sake, and craft gin. In addition to suggested pairings for each dish, non-alcoholic selections such as house-made seasonal fruit juices and ginger soda ensure non-drinkers enjoy an equally considered experience. With food prepared in plain sight and the calm rhythm of the counter, an evening here unfolds at an unhurried, personal pace.
